Adventure Travel Destinations For 2011

Many times we talked on the blog active tourism sport, adventure and adrenaline privileged landscapes that stimulate all our senses. The year 2011 started well, with many ready to schedule a good year for travel. And among them, the website Gadling, bring us ten destinations for adventure travel that we share in our blog:

Adventure Travel Destinations For 2011United States. Sounds classic, but the country as large and difficult to cover, still has many places to discover. Adventure travel has its place of privilege, in states like Colorado, where over 53 peaks of considerable height for climbing, hiking trails in states like Utah, or even the Appalachian Trail, one of the most renowned in the world. Adventure travel around the country, allows us to cross large rivers and lakes by kayak, exploring forests, deserts, mountains and countless national parks.

Adventure Travel Destinations For 2011Ethiopia. First surprise. Leaving the more traditional Africa, the country is no place for safaris, trekking in the Semien Mountains, trips to Lake Tana, or visit the holy city of Lalibela.

Argentina. A land of extremes and contrasts in bulk. From the jungle at Niagara Falls, the glaciers in Patagonia. Backpackers and climbers paradise, Aconcagua is the roof of the West, a goal for many climbers each summer.

Croatia. Europe to the East holds many secrets. Sea kayaking, sailing in the Adriatic Sea, diving off the coast, and in the interior, crystal clear rivers, mountain trails and spectacular scenery.

New Zealand. A classic of adventure travel, but also a country that takes in revealing secrets. For many, the country is the adventure capital globally. His landscapes are amazing. From mountains to forests and the path of Milford Track, which runs some of the best natural panoramas in the world.

India. A country-continent, is sensed, has a lot of proposals for adventure travel. Geographical and cultural diversity in India you can go from beautiful beaches diving, to hiking in high mountains or explore the Thar desert on a camel.

Turkey. The country that is a bridge between two continents, is also rich in culture and history. Ideal for hiking adventure in areas such as Cappadocia, or the mountains Kackar, wild terrain and height, with a mythical sounding places such as Mount Ararat.

The North Pole. The most extreme adventure destination worthy travelers who dare to everything. As close to the feat to tackle it is in skiing. There are even companies that offer guided expeditions across the Arctic, an adventure for the few.

Adventure travel partnership announced

A NEW AGREEMENT BETWEEN World Expeditions travel company and Adventure South will bring more adventure travel opportunities to Australians.

Since teaming up, the companies plan to expand business in New Zealand while maintaining shared values and desires to use sustainable travel.

Adventure travel partnership announced"We believe that Australians have a thirst for adventure product in New Zealand as its short haul, inexpensive to get there and offers a completely different travel experience to Australia," says World Expeditions CEO Sue Badyari. "Consistent feedback from our travellers indicates that they are looking for innovation and new opportunities to explore NZ and that is the niche that the Adventure South holidays fill. There really is nothing like this range of products anywhere in the market."

World Expeditions began as a Himalayan trekking company in 1975 and was one of the world's original companies specialising in adventure travel. The company sets holidays to Asia, South, Central and North America, Africa, Europe, Antarctica, and Australia.

Adventure South, established in 1992, leads cycling, trekking and adventure tours throughout New Zealand. The company takes pride in its experienced tour guides and original itineraries with unmatched geographic coverage.

Beginning this week, Adventure South will launch in Australia with a reorganised web page and a brochure featuring 26 affordable adventure trips.

A Peak Pursuits Adventure Day enables individuals to come along and have a go at a selection of the activities that we offer. Expert instruction and all equipment is included in the cost . Activities on offer are Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Hill Walking and Navigation & Kayaking. To take part in these Adventure Days the minimum age requirement is 14 years old.

Advanced Open Water Diver

The Adventures in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification. If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
