Outdoor Adventure Program

One of the great ways to get involved in outdoor activities is through the Outdoor Adventure Program. The main goal of the Outdoor Adventure Program is to help students experience the great outdoors that the Houghton area has to offer by providing students with the opportunity to participate in Guided Trips, the TECH Challenge Course, and Information Sessions. The TECH Challenge Course is located at the entrance of the Michigan Tech Trails and provides several team building activities for students to take part in with a student organization or a group of friends. One of the newest and most popular additions to the TECH Challenge Course is the high ropes course. Students may reserve the TECH Challenge Course by following the Course Registration steps and submitting the forms on the Outdoor Adventure Program website. The Outdoor Adventure Program will also be hosting a Kayak Safety Clinic in the Student Development Complex pool on April 17 from 8-10 a.m. Lastly, one of the most popular services that the Outdoor Adventures Program provides is affordable equipment rental. The Outdoor Adventures Program rents out bikes, kayaks, canoes, camping equipment, and anything else students need for an outdoor adventure, all at a low cost. Check out the Rentals page for a complete listing of equipment and prices.
